Hi folks I'm  going to race this weekend think I'm going to try S4 as won't be able for 3 full laps at race speed😥😥 (not a bandit I swear). What's the difference with the full course and short course??
Also was wanting to enter my son into the U6's but he is not off stabilisers yet...is it possible for him to race or a no go??

The short course will most likely be used for the 12 noon race, which is U16, S4 mens, S2 women and U14.  The short course uses all of Eurosceptic and therefore cuts out the open mountain section.  Lap count for S4 mens still to be decided - either two or three laps, depending on potential overall race time.

As far as I know, the U6 race is open to all, whether with pedals or a strider-style bike, stabilisers or not.  It's about the participation, there are no placings as such, all who compete get a medal.

Yeah, pretty sure there is no registration for the U6 race.  S3 mens will be three laps of the full course.

If not, then I think that means it will be decided on the day.

Well done Leah on your first NPS podium - on your home turf too  :)

Well done to all other MAD MTB members that raced!

The greatest success of the event however was the coming together of a huge number of MAD MTB members, in the lead up preparation and on the day itself.  We could not have done this without everyone pitching in.  Take a bow MAD MTB!

Well done Leah! Well done to everyone racing on what looked like a tough course.

Kudos to Steve, Liam and the rest of the committee for all the efforts. Was a great day on the hill, good vibes all round.

Thanks MAD guys n gals for putting on a first class event.

4 laps of that course was just grueling, bordering on torture actually.... I loved it..!

I got my ass handed to me once again but I managed to finish so I'm happy with that.

Once upon a time I used to be at the sharp end of S2... now I'm at the arse end of S3... that's okay though, that's what you get for spending so much time off the bike.

On lap 3 I swore I'd never do another cross country race again. Now I'm looking forward to the next one. Glutton for punishment.
