Oval chainring
« on: 22, November, 2021, 03:31:48 PM »
Hey Guys,

I am thinking about trying oval chainring on my bike. Which ones are you guys using? Have you find it beneficial for the climbing?

Thanks
Pawel

I'm using an absolute black. Apart from the rear wheel not breaking traction quite as easily on a steep climb, I don't really find much difference.

Also using the absolute black. It's hard for me to tell if it helps as I'm using it on a new bike which is heavier than my previous one. I haven't compared it to a normal chainring on a same bike. It does feel good when climbing, like the leg rotation feels better - maybe it's placebo but it gives me the impression it is working! With that said, I'm still the last of the pack
