See below from Genevieve Filewood, a master’s student of Sport and Exercise Nutrition at Ulster University who is looking for vegetarian athletes for a research project investigating the nutritional knowledge of vegetarian athletes.

"I am looking for male or female participants, living in Northern Ireland/Republic of Ireland, between the age of 18-64 years, who currently follow a habitual vegetarian diet, engage frequently in power-based or endurance training/sport (e.g. weight training, long distance running) and who have not completed this same study questionnaire in the last 2 previous summers (2018 and 2019).

The study will involve one primary component:Completing a questionnaire consisting of initial screening questions, demographics and assessment of nutritional knowledge.

Those who complete the study can leave their email address to be entered into a draw to win 50/€50 vouchers

If they feel they fit this criterion and would be interested in taking part, they are requested to click on the following link and complete the questionnaire:https://redcap.science.ulster.ac.uk/redcap/surveys/?s=XTX44RF73X

The questionnaire will take 20-30 minutes to complete. It is entirely up to them if they want to take part.Thank you for taking the time to read this, Genevieve Filewood.

This study is supervised by Dr Julie Sittlington and Dr Pamela Magee. They can be contacted at jj.sittlington@ulster.ac.uk or pj.magee@ulster.ac.uk. The use of email to recruit participants for this study has been approved by Ulster University Filter Committee."
