How to become a MAD club member
« on: 11, September, 2016, 10:32:17 PM »
If you haven’t joined MAD yet, here’s how on to get in on the action —
  • Send an email to intro@madmtb.com and you’ll get a reply with details of how to sign up for our monthly intro spin.
  • Once you’ve joined us for a spin and you’re ready to join the club, sign up to Cycling Ireland (CI) www.cyclingireland.ie
  • Choose your licence type — if you don’t have plans to start racing straight away, then the best licence choice is typically a Leisure Licence.  This will still allow you to race if you choose to do the occasional event, simply by paying for a one-day licence on the day of the event.  The other licence option for a typical MTB racer would be a Limited Competition Licence.
  • After choosing your Licence type (costs vary by license type, see CI website for details), choose your club — MTB Assoc of Dublin (annual membership is €30 Jan – Dec)
  • As soon as your membership is approved (which should be done quick enough), you’ll receive an email from CI, log into your CI account, make your payment by PayPal and you’re done!
  • Email committee@madmtb.com with your MAD Forum user name and we’ll add you for access to the MAD Members’ Forum, where you get access to all areas of the forum that are exclusive for MAD members.
If you have any questions on any of the above details or any other club matter, drop us an email at committee@madmtb.com

If you already have a CI licence, or wish to join the club prior to doing an intro spin, drop us an email at committee@madmtb.com

You can also see our website www.madmtb.com for more details and like us on Facebook for the latest Intro spin dates.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
